CHAKWAL: The dead body of 17 years old young boy was recovered after 24 hours from the mini dam at Village Chak Malook and the Pak Army divers were brought on Wednesday from Mangla Cantt. The army divers immediately recovered the dead body of Saqlain Mahfooz. Saqlain Mahfooz resident of village Ghokel went out to the mini dam along with his dog for dog bathing. Due to heavy rain the water was deep and he immediately went into the deep water. The people of the area made hue and cry but in vain. The Rescue 1122 team rushed on the spot and they started searching the body of the Saqlain on Tuesday afternoon. After 7 hours of hectic effort the search operation was postponed due to heavy rain and the search operation again started early morning of Wednesday but rescue teams were failed to recover the dead body that went into the muddy water in the dam. The army divers were called as a last resort and army divers in just a few minutes recovered the dead body from the 35feet deep muddy water and dead body was handed over to the relatives of the deceased. It is worth mentioning here that the mini dam was in an open place and there was no restriction and boundary wall alongside the dam and the many causalities have occurred every year in summer season and some special measure are required to adapt in the pawns and mini dams.
