University Town for Chakwal is to be declared, PTI.


CHAKWAL: The senior Vice President of PTI North Region Punjab, Raja Yasir Sarfraz said on Thursday that PTI would face PML (N) in Punjab in the coming general elections and the PTI has improved a lot in Distt. Chakwal and PTI’s vote bank has been increased considerably and it would be neck to neck fight in all the two national and four provincial assembly seats in Distt. Chakwal in the coming general elections. He was addressing at Meet the Press Programme of Chakwal Press Club and on this occasion Ch. Mohsin Hassan Khan, Qazi Mohsin Kahout, Malik Kashif Habib and Ali Jawad Kahout were also present on this occasion. Raja Yasir Sarfraz was of the view that Chakwal Distt. is not a strong hold of PML (N) as it was claimed but every time the majority vote was polled against PML (N) in last previous 8 general elections since 1985. He predicted that PTI would click and is in position to win the at least 4 seats out of six from Distt. Chakwal and if managed more properly it would be 100% favourable results because the PML (N) parliamentarians of Chakwal Distt. have done nothing for the welfare of people of Distt. Chakwal. He further told that Mr. Shahbaz Sharif has announced Punjab University Campus in the general elections but from the last 4 years it was not done. He suggested that all the parliamentarians of PML (N), Civil Society, Media and people from all walks of life should unite on one platform and work for the establishment of university town at Chakwal. Mr Yasir was confident that engineering university campus is also available’ the present Govt. Post Graduate College Chakwal should be merged and Dhan Chakwal University is to be declared. Mr. Yasir further told that Chakwal has literacy rate of 84.6% and it would be very useful for the promotion of higher education in Distt. Chakwal. He also suggested that the recently approved Govt. Degree College for Women that is to be constructed at land of Govt. Post Graduate
